At first, there was the idea of a noble brave knight rushing to help, and several photographs at the core: These photos from jousting tournaments and a picture of a Russian warrior monk could not be the basis of the drawing, they only gave a certain combination of images to embody the idea, for the first stage - the stage of creating a painting on canvas. And here are the first sketches, almost the final solution in a sketch made in a simple artist's notebook.

And so the sketch is approved, the artist proceeds to a rather difficult task - not just to embody the idea on canvas, but to do the work so that the next specialist in the set of paintings in the marquetry technique (mosaic) could preserve both the color scheme and the emotional perception of what he intended.
