The main purpose of the kiosk is the ability to hang an icon. The fact is that the board on which the icon is painted is called the "body of the icon" and, according to the canons, cannot be subjected to mechanical influences. That is, neither attach a suspension to the reverse side, nor even make holes for a nail or screw in the body of the icon. The icon itself can only be placed. In order to be able to hang an icon, you need a kiosk.
This kiosk is designed for lectern icons, measuring 21*29 cm. The external dimensions of the kiosk are 37*29 cm, which is quite comparable to the size of a large icon. This is clearly visible in the photos. Inside the kiosk there is a soft couch draped with velvet, carefully supporting and fixing the icon. The relief ornament of the frame organically complements the pattern of the icon's margins.
