The Torah is the first part of the Bible, the so—called "Pentateuch of Moses" - a scroll with the text of the Pentateuch, the subject of the religious cult of the Jews; in a broad sense, the totality of the Jewish traditional religious law. Traditionally, the words of the Torah are written on a scroll in Hebrew. A part of the Torah is publicly read at least once every three days at meetings. Public reading of the Torah is one of the foundations of Jewish communal life.
