The Zion is made of bronze and silver with gilding, the books are inserted into velvet-covered niches. The weight of Zion, along with six volumes of the Bible, is more than 40 kilograms. For your convenience, it is equipped with a special mechanism that allows you to easily rotate the Zion so that the desired volume is in front of you. The rotary mechanism was developed by the workshop of the Vadim Wolfson Book Museum.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Six volumes of the Holy Scriptures, published with the blessing of Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia, are placed in Zion. All six volumes are numbered end-to-end. On each binding there is a bronze bas-relief made by Andrey Avvakumov. The synodal translation of 1876 is provided with comments by Archpriest Father Alexander Me. The publication is illustrated with masterpieces of world painting.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The volumes of the Bible are encased in high-quality Russels Oasis leather bindings with gold embossing. The bindings are decorated with bas-reliefs made of bronze or gold of the 750th standard based on engravings by A. Durer, J. Schnorr von Carolsfeld, G. Dore. Freelife Vellum book paper of the highest quality. The sculptural images (the Savior, the Mother of God, John the Baptist, the Apostle Peter, the Apostle Paul, John the Theologian) were created by Vladimir Karnaukhov. Archpriest fr.
