About this product
Art. : 011-41

Dan Brown was born in 1965 in New Hampshire (USA), his father was a professor of mathematics, and his mother was a professional musician. In 1995, together with his wife, he published the book "187 men to stay away from: a guide for romantically frustrated women." Dan Brown's wife, Blyth (but she took the pseudonym Daniela Brown for the book), is an artist and art historian, collaborated with him in scientific research and accompanied Dan on his many research trips.

In 1998, the writer, who has always been interested in philosophy, the history of religion, cryptography and secret organizations, published his first thriller novel, Digital Fortress, written in connection with his interest in code cracking and classified government agencies. The book explores the fine line between civil liberty and national security. Further works by Dan Brown were also created at the "junction of genres": in 2000, the intellectual conspiracy detective "Angels and Demons" was released, and in 2001 the thriller "Deception Point" was released.

In 2003, the adventures of Professor Robert Langdon from Angels and Demons were continued with the novel The Da Vinci Code - on the very first day after publication, the book sold 6,000 copies. In the first week of sale, the novel "The Da Vinci Code" took the first place in the list of New York bestsellers and was placed at the top of the bestsellers of Wall Street Magazine, the San Francisco Chronicles. Later it became a number 1 hit in all major bestseller ratings in the country. The Da Vinci Code has sold about 50 million copies in more than 40 languages.

In 2006, a film of the same name was made based on the book. Currently, Brown is engaged in journalism, constantly publishes in the magazines "Newsweek", "TIME", "Forbes", "People", "GQ", "The NewYorker", performs in various popular radio and television programs.
