The book "Games for all Ages" has been faithfully reproduced by us from the rarest surviving copy of 1844. This is a kind of encyclopedia published in two parts and includes descriptions of more than 270 different games, with the first part providing fun for spending time outdoors, and the second – activities for indoor entertainment.
Here you can find charades, puns, practical jokes, entertainment using French and German, etc. The peculiarity of this rare edition is that the collection has been prepared on domestic material. Of course, in the century before last there were other books and pamphlets devoted to games and entertainment, but these were mostly translated editions.
