One of the first souvenir albums of Jerusalem in the world. The innovation was the printing coloring of the most popular and successful photographs of Jerusalem, including the legendary French photographer Felix Bonfils. The color was adjusted by the employees of the printing house manually from nature. Thus, literally the first color images of the Holy City were obtained. At that time, Jerusalem was part of the Ottoman Empire, with a growing number of tourists and pilgrims. The album contains images of the Golden Gate, the Temple Mount, panoramas of the city, the Jaffa Gate, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and so on.
