"The Flowers of St. Francis of Assisi" is a text of 53 short chapters telling about the life of the famous saint; at the same time, it is a monument of Italian literature of the XIV century. This edition contains a translation by A. P. Pechkovsky, who used the text of Amaretto Manelli in 1396, reproduced in the edition by L. Manzoni. Small fragments of the text that were not included in this translation have been restored from the French edition by Jacques Beltrand.
The book is decorated with ornaments, letters and colored drawings by the French symbolist artist Maurice Denis.
