Zabelin, based on the study of a huge number of historical sources, offers his original explanation of the social cataclysm of the Time of Troubles. The book presents, as it were, "purified" biographies of Minin and Pozharsky, there is an open dispute with Kostomarov's opinion on this issue. During the author's lifetime, the book was popular and was repeatedly republished. This publication is aimed at the widest range of readers interested in Russian history. "Minin and Pozharsky" is one of his main works, which describes the Time of Troubles in Russia, its intense and dramatic events.
