The author highlights the activities of the Headquarters of the Supreme High Command, its leadership of military operations. He does not ignore the miscalculations in its activities, the reasons for our failures on the fronts. In the third book, the author tells how the Soviet military art grew, how resolutely and purposefully the military actions of the fronts were planned, the necessary superiority in forces and means was created in the main directions, effective forms of conducting offensive operations were used.
