Leather-bound book "Big" in English, on a stand

The book was published for the opening of the Bolshoi Theatre after a ten-year reconstruction. The designer has developed the structure and naming of the Russian and English editions. The book has five thematic sections: "Big repair" — about the deep modernization of the building, "Big Spectator" — a photo essay about ordinary and famous visitors to the theater, "Big Success" — a section based on the materials of the world press about the events of the theater, "Big Style" — the main section of the book: descriptions and photographs of all the performances of the theater with opening day, "Big Artist" — a photo gallery of stars, "Big Project" — an article about the history and architecture of the theater building. The book was photographed by Peter Lindbergh, Gerard Yufera, Vladimir Fridkes, Yuri Palmin, Olga Alekseenko. Hundreds of beautiful photographs from the archive of the Bolshoi Theatre Museum have been published. The book unfolds in reverse chronological order, from the present day of the theater and its troupe, to the times when it did not yet exist. The cover fabric of the binding is woven according to the pattern of a modern theater curtain from the same threads, in the same factory as the curtain itself.

The gift edition is presented on a stand. The combination of gold and colored embossing gives an incredible visual effect. The design is complemented by richly decorated dubbed composite flyleafs, a gold-knurled sawn-off edge and silk lace. Printed on designer paper "verge".
