Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov entered world history as the greatest Russian commander who did not suffer a single defeat in his military career. He was one of the most educated people of his time, who had extensive knowledge not only in military sciences, but also in other fields of knowledge. He spoke several languages, was engaged in literary work, philosophy and history. Suvorov is great not only as a commander, he was the creator of military doctrine and a new strategy and tactics of wars.
Suvorov outlined his views in the "Regimental Institution" (1765), "The Science of Winning" (1795), as well as notes and instructions. Suvorov educated the troops in the spirit of offensive tactics, paid great attention to training soldiers in professional skills and constantly took care of the morale of the troops. According to Denis Davydov, Suvorov "polo lived with his hand on a soldier's heart and studied his heartbeat," it was not for nothing that the soldiers paid him with love, calling him a "field marshal soldier." In this edition, along with the outstanding work of military thought "The Science of Winning", Suvorov's autobiography and his letters to his daughter, Suvorochka, are presented, in which the commander reveals himself as a loving and caring father. The image of the "field marshal soldier" and the eccentric, which Suvorov was recognized by many, will complement the memories of his contemporaries.
