The history of Adidas is a story of innovative design, breakthrough technologies and, of course, worldwide recognition. This book is a historical cross-section, tracing the path of the brand using the example of more than 350 archived models of sneakers. The edition is also notable for the collectible case that comes with it. The illustrations for the book were done by photographers Christian Habermeier and Sebastian Jaeger, who have been shooting the adidas archives for years. The book also includes informative texts and analytics about the sports shoe industry and stories about iconic adidas collaborations — with Kanye West, Raf Simons, Pharrell Williams and other celebrities and designers. In parallel, the authors will talk about the most significant sporting events of the second half of the 20th century. For example, about Germany's victory at the World Cup in 1954 and about the story of Katrin Schwitzer, who became the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon.
