The ceremonial saber, forged from Damascus steel and decorated in the best traditions of the Zlatoust art of arms, is the epitome of status, power and historical continuity. The blade, showing the characteristic wavy Damascus pattern, is inlaid with ornamental engravings with gilding, emphasizing the ritual and representative character of the weapon. The handle is made of precious wood, shaded with deep blackened clips and golden floral motifs, and the contour is accentuated by two belts of red inserts resembling pomegranate seeds. The scabbard is entirely covered with a complex composition with images of antique trophies, banners, shields, drums and laurel wreaths — allegories of victory, valor and military glory.
The decoration uses the classic Zlatoust technique of metal engraving, including gilding, nickel plating and blackening. The masters of the jewelry and weapons school have achieved exceptional contrast: in floral and symbolic patterns, the golden relief plays against the background of a velvet-black field, and the finest silver work creates the illusion of a three-dimensional relief. There is an ornamental stripe of repeating symbols on the blade, made in a multi—layered color engraving, demonstrating the highest level of mastery of the technique. The decor covers not only the guard and scabbard, but also each plate, creating a single visual whole.
It is not a weapon, but a relic created to demonstrate power, dignity and taste. The checker is intended as a gift to a state-level person, a high-ranking military officer, diplomat or businessman, whose biography is filled with symbols of victories and a confident path. In a wooden case with a velvet lining, it looks like a trophy from a private meeting, worthy of a showcase in a private office or a hall of honor.
