A richly illustrated edition of the early twentieth century. In a publishing binding with gold lettering on the front cover.
The best views of the Crimea of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, collected in one album, specially made in Stockholm in Russian, in the famous printing company "Granberg".
The album contains photographs of the famous Yalta photographer of the turn of the XIX-XX centuries I. Semenov, who compiled the album. He repeatedly photographed the royal family during his stay in Crimea. Such noble mansions as, for example, the Livadia Palace in Yalta were decorated with his "Crimean" photographs.
On the pages of the publication there are sights, views of cities and resort places of the Crimean peninsula: the nature of the region, the sea coast, mountains, waterfalls, palaces, squares and central streets, embankments are presented separately. The cities of the Crimea are colorfully shown - Yalta, Livadia, Massandra, Gurzuf, Alupka, Simeiz, Bakhchisarai, etc.
The publication was printed in the Swedish joint-stock company Granberg, which produced albums, postcards reproductions of paintings by artists of the Peredvizhniki, as well as landscape views of Russian cities. Often, printing was created by special orders from Russian publishers. The special printing style and limited editions have made Granberg's postcards and albums popular with collectors all over the world.
