The first bells in Russia dedicated to the great Russian theater were made based on the play by A.P. Chekhov "Three Sisters". This is a work about unattainable happiness, about the illusions in which a person's life irrevocably passes. The play was written by order of the Moscow Art Theater in 1900, and presented to the public on January 31, 1901. Performances based on this work are staged in our time, because it does not lose its relevance.
The play begins optimistically: both the weather itself and the characters are joyful. The Prozorov sisters are young, full of hope, each happy in their own way, but their dream of moving to Moscow is not destined to come true in the light of revolutionary events. Everyone loses faith in their ideal: the younger Irina is disappointed in high school studies and work at the telegraph office "without dreams and thoughts", the middle Masha is in her teacher husband, whom she used to consider important and smart, the elder Olga is in everything. His brother's wife Natasha turns out not to be a beautiful fairy, but a vulgar philistine who takes over the whole house, and Andrey himself, to everyone's disappointment, takes the place of secretary instead of a professorial position. There are fighting all around, everything is collapsing, burning, everyone is suffering, even the eternal joker realizes that he is just trying to close himself off from reality with his jokes. Three years later, the hope of work and marriage dawned, but even it was not destined to come true, the sisters were left face to face with the vulgarity of life. This play is about disappointment, about the broken dreams of young sisters who are not even destined to move to Moscow.
