And storks were sacred birds belonging to Hera. It was believed that if they appeared near the house, the woman would definitely get pregnant. Since that time, the stork has been associated with a baby, with the happiness of the birth of a baby. Folk observations of nature are also superimposed on ancient legends. These birds arrive in the spring, when all living things awaken, which is associated with the birth of a new life. Therefore, it was the stork with a baby in its beak that became the symbol of motherhood and birth.
