About this product
Art. : 099-3656

The Maki tea set is a work of decorative art in which the technique of enamel—filigree decoration on silver is revealed in all its complexity and brilliance. An elegant ornament of flaming scarlet poppies on a snow-white background, framed by a silver glow, creates a feeling of fragile poetry imprinted in metal. The composition of the set includes twenty—three items: a teapot, a sugar bowl, a milk jug, a creamer, a biscuit bowl, six cups with cup holders and saucers, as well as six teaspoons - every detail is thought out to perfection and executed in a single artistic key. The shape of the products is strict and solemn, in the spirit of Russian classic serving.

The set is based on 925 sterling silver, which casts a cold light and emphasizes the purity of the enamel paints. The ornament is created using the technique of cloisonne enamel: the master manually lays out the thinnest wire partitions forming closed contours, then fills them with colored enamel. Multi-stage firing and polishing turn the surface into a glossy painting capable of maintaining saturation and color depth for decades. Special attention is paid to details: the handles of the cups and teapot are decorated in the form of architectural miniatures with graphic precision, and the spoons are completed with stylized buds that visually combine functionality and decorativeness.

The Maki set is addressed to true connoisseurs — those who look for not only benefits in every thing, but also character, mood, and the voice of the era. It will become a magnificent decoration of the house, where art is not uncommon, but the basis of a lifestyle. This set is suitable for formal tea parties, and for quiet family evenings, and in any case, it doesn't just serve a drink — it offers an atmosphere.

Among the great inventions of China, porcelain claims to be, if not the most important, then the most beautiful. The secret of making porcelain dishes was kept in the strictest secrecy. Attempts to find her out were punishable by death. However, porcelain, first exported to Asian countries, and by the XVI century to Europe, was valued above gold. Scientists and masters from all over the world struggled to reveal his secret. The complex technology of mixing porcelain mass, which includes kaolin, quartz and mica, and no less complex roasting are just the basics learned from the Chinese. Japanese, Florentine, and Prussian porcelain manufactories added something of their own to this base, obtaining, although different from the prototype, but beautiful porcelain in its own way.
