About this product
Replica hoverboard from the movie "Back to the future" with an autograph
Christopher Lloyd is a film and television actor. Winner of three Emmy Awards. He is best known for his role as Dr. Emmett Brown in the film trilogy "Back to the Future", as well as for the films "Flying Over the Cuckoo's Nest", "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", "The Addams Family", "Route 60".
"Back to the Future" is one of those films that are undoubtedly among the favorite films not only of all those who grew up in the 80s, but also for young viewers — it has its own timeless appeal, which still makes it fresh, funny and exciting.
A hoverboard is a fictional device resembling a skateboard, which has two anti—gravitators instead of wheels. It can hover at a height of about seven centimeters above the ground.
In an interview about the filming of the second part, director Robert Zemeckis described the hoverboard as follows: "A hoverboard is a board that floats using a magnetic field. It works like a skateboard, only without wheels, and it doesn't need a road surface to work. They were invented several years ago, but their parents simply do not allow them to start mass production. We managed to get a few pieces and use them in the film."
Of course, later he "had to" say that he was joking, but immediately after that, Mattel, whose logo was printed on Marty's board, was literally inundated with calls asking when their mass production would begin.
