Vladimir Zvorykin is a Russian engineer and inventor. One of the pioneers of television.
During the Civil War, the scientist emigrated to the United States. After four years in America, Zvorykin received a patent for electronic television (1923). Later, he became the developer of the tube-kinescope and iconoscope.
In the 30s, the scientist spent a lot of time on foreign business trips. He traveled to Europe and the USSR. In 1938, thanks to his efforts, the first electronic broadcasting television station began to rotate. Soon, in 1940, Zvorykin discovered a way to transmit a color image.
