Leonid Yakubovich is a Soviet and Russian TV presenter, actor, screenwriter, television producer, novelist; People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2002). He is best known as the permanent presenter and artistic director of the television program "Field of Miracles".
In the 90s, the show hosted on-site editions. The first, dedicated to Spain, was filmed in Barcelona and aired on New Year's Eve — December 25, 1992. The second, in the spring of 1993, was filmed on the ship "Shota Rustaveli", which went on its first cruise in the Mediterranean Sea. The third was the Kiev edition — it aired on December 16, 1994. In 2000, when there was significantly less money for entertainment in the country, the "African edition" was filmed, in which disguised RUDN students portrayed residents of the fictional country of Miha-Maklakh (apparently, a reference to the surname of the Russian ethnographer Miklukho-Maklay). Filming took place in the usual studio "Fields of Miracles" in Moscow.
