The Russian Aerospace Forces are on guard of the clear sky.

Officially, Russian military aviation was born on August 12, 1912, when, by order of the military department, aviation issues were transferred to the Aeronautical Part of the General Staff. This event became the starting point for the subsequent rapid development of Russian aviation. During its short (1912-1917) history, the Russian Imperial Air Force managed to gain a reputation as one of the best in the world. Of course, since then, technological progress has not stood still: thanks to the emergence of more and more new innovations, the designs and silhouettes of aircraft have undergone tremendous changes.
During this time, the Russian Air Force has come a long way, becoming more and more advanced and powerful. Today, modern airplanes and helicopters equipped with the most advanced technologies are guarding our skies. Soviet and Russian pilots have repeatedly demonstrated the highest professionalism, performing feats during the Great Patriotic War, in Afghanistan, Syria and other hot spots. Their courage, skill and indomitable will have always aroused deep respect and admiration.
In 1997, after the unification of the Air Force and air defense, the holiday acquired a new meaning: now it symbolizes the unity and power of all the aerospace forces of the country. Today, the Russian Aerospace Forces is a high—tech branch of the armed forces capable of solving the most difficult tasks anywhere in the world.
On the day of the VKS of the Russian Federation, it is customary to give glasses with a flask, air damask, souvenir globes or a world map.
Congratulating all the employees of the VKS, we would like to express our deep gratitude for their courage, professionalism and dedication to their work, and also present an exclusive selection of gifts that we have prepared for this day. Your hard work, dedication and skill are the key to security and peace in our Land. May your path be illuminated by the stars, the sky be clear, and your flights be successful!
