Builder's Day is a celebration of creators, those whose hands build cities, bridges, schools, theaters, factories, hospitals and museums. It has been celebrated on the second Sunday of August since 1956, in memory of the first great construction projects of the Soviet era, which became symbols of renaissance and technological progress. A lot has changed since then – architecture, technology, scale. The essence has not changed: a builder is a man on whose shoulders the country stands.

This is a profession in which there are no random people. Every project starts with a drawing, but is implemented through precision, experience, hard work, and responsibility. The builder works in a reality that does not forgive mistakes. Concrete, brick, steel, and millimeters contain not only knowledge, but also attitude – to business, to the city, and to the future. And therefore, behind every building there is not only the design, but also the character of those who created it.

Sometimes, passing by a majestic facade or a new residential complex, we don't think about the people who made it possible. But it is they who – engineers, architects, bricklayers, foremen, welders – leave behind something that will last for decades. They are building not just walls, but a space in which an entire epoch lives and breathes.

On this day, we honor those who work in the heat and cold, at the height and in the depth of the excavation, those whose work is a result visible to everyone.
