This date became a symbol of the triumph of reason, will and fearlessness, and already in 1962 it was officially declared Cosmonautics Day – a celebration of those who pave the way to the stars, overcoming the boundaries of the possible.

This is an area where the price of error is incredibly high, and success is the result not only of knowledge, but also of indomitable character. Astronauts, designers, and engineers – those whose determination allowed a person to look beyond the horizon of the familiar world – proved that courage and intelligence are capable of conquering even the universe.
