On the first Sunday of September, Russia celebrates the Day of the Oil and Gas Worker — industries inextricably linked with each other. In such a friendly tandem, they stand guard over the energy independence of our country every day. Professionals are responsible for this, who have dedicated their lives to a cause that requires not only deep knowledge and skills, but also great patience and perseverance. It is impossible to imagine modern life without their work, because oil and gas are the basis of many sectors of the economy, from energy to the chemical industry.
The history of this holiday began in 1965, when the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR established the Day of Workers of the Oil and Gas Industry. In those years, these industries developed rapidly, becoming one of the main engines of the country's economy.
The holiday acquired special significance in the 1970s, when the oil and gas industry of the USSR reached new heights, starting to provide the country not only with energy resources, but also with stable income from their exports. Soviet engineers and workers discovered new fields, built gas pipelines and oil refineries, making a significant contribution to the development of global energy.
Today, as half a century ago, the Day of the Oil and Gas Worker remains an important event, when those who with their own hands and knowledge ensure the stability and prosperity of Russia are honored. We congratulate all those who work in this complex and responsible industry, and express our sincere gratitude for their contribution to the development of the economy and the provision of energy to every home.
On this day, it is customary to present gift editions of books on the history of the oil and gas industry in both Russian and English for foreign partners. Oil and gas workers will be sincerely glad to receive industry souvenirs — for example, an oilman's helmet, an oil rig, oil and gas pipelines. They will be happy to spend their free minutes playing oil and gas chess. And industry leaders will certainly need a table set, a roller pen made of silver and silver with gold and diamonds, as well as themed oil and gas cufflinks.
We wish you good health, new achievements and prosperity in all your endeavors. Especially for you, we have prepared a selection of unique gifts for the day of the oil and gas worker. May every working day bring you joy from the completed task, and all your projects are implemented successfully and on time.
Oil and Gas Worker's Day is your day, and you deserve the warmest and most sincere congratulations!
