Berd Vaye is an American brand founded in 2014 by two watch collectors and enthusiasts from the art world. The purpose of creating the sculptures was the desire to embody the symbiosis of watchmaking and modern art, while demonstrating both the splendor of clockwork mechanisms and capturing the very concept of time, giving it shape and meaning. A multifaceted and absolutely not typical meaning lies in each of the works. Elementary forms for our perception (sphere and cube) are filled with hundreds and thousands of frozen moments, moreover, from different viewing angles the picture changes dramatically, and the mechanisms that were hiding in the infinity of time appear to the eye, and it happens that chaos turns into order and randomly scattered mechanisms line up in a row. And all this is within the framework of one work. In each of which the whole world freezes, with its own characteristics, differences and preferences.
Each sculpture is unique, 999 copies have been created all over the world, each with its own identification number engraved on a silver gear with a ruby in the center. This is a reference to watchmaking. Each piece is handmade, inside there are vintage watch movements aged from 50 to 100 years, collected from all over the world, carefully selected and polished (by hand). There are about 2 thousand mechanisms in small sculptures, and more than 3 thousand in large ones.

MATERIAL AND PRODUCTION
The material from which Berd Vaye's works are made is called Lucite, it is one of the most environmentally friendly derivatives of acrylic, a patent from Du Pont. The material has maximum light conductivity, is not prone to scratches, is much stronger than glass and crystal, is well polished and is considered one of the most environmentally friendly materials on the planet. Pressure chambers for premature babies are made from this material. Each sculpture is made by hand, vintage watch movements are selected and carefully polished, then poured into layers into a mold and fired in a specially created oven. The production time of one sculpture is 1 month. All sculptures are made in North America. Of course, there are no analogues in the world.
