Elena Yanson-Manizer is called the "chronicler of Soviet choreographic art." The gallery of portraits of ballet dancers, performed by Elena Alexandrovna in porcelain, seems endless. The sculptural image of the incomparable Galina Ulanova as Odette in the ballet Swan Lake was created by Yanson-Manizer in 1951. A light and rapid movement, elation and harmony, the tension of a foot frozen on the toe, and like a splash of a wave, a light dress billowed out… This is a moment from "Swan Lake", a wonderful arabesque captured and preserved for centuries by the master. In 1984, a greatly enlarged and cast in bronze replica of the statuette was installed in front of the Stockholm Dance Museum in recognition of the achievements of the great modern ballerina Galina Sergeevna Ulanova, who enriched world choreography with her genius.
