The composition of the mammoth tusk "Shenshi Huazhang" is a sophisticated work in which decorative plastic reaches the utmost expressiveness, combining natural forms with the symbolism of prosperity and well-being. The base is made of mammoth tusk with a characteristic soft, silky surface and natural shades that create the effect of internal light. The composition has a curved, almost floating shape, resembling an elegant branch, strewn with flowers, fruits and delicate elements.
The central part is saturated with a complex interweaving of floral motifs: large open flowers, dense inflorescences, rounded fruits and graceful buds form a multi-layered structure in which each element is integrated into the overall rhythm. On the left, the composition rises up, forming a decorative arch with the thinnest pendants, as if stretched between the branches. These elements create a sense of movement and airiness, enhancing the impression of a vibrant, evolving space. The right part, more elongated and calm, balances the composition, giving it a harmonious completeness.
The Cantonese carving technique is manifested in exceptional precision and delicacy of execution: the petals have the finest edges, the surfaces range from smooth to granular, which creates a rich play of light and shadow. The layering allows you to view the product from different angles, each time revealing new details — hidden junctions of branches, miniature decorative shapes, smooth transitions of lines. The light base emphasizes the feeling of a floating structure without weighing down the composition.
The name "Shenshi Huazhang" can be interpreted as "the blooming splendor of the era of prosperity," and the whole composition fully reveals this meaning. It symbolizes abundance, harmonious development and flourishing, in which every detail takes its place in the overall order. This work becomes an expressive accent of space, reflecting the idea of well-being, refined taste and the continuous movement of life.
