Произведение «Рыболовное судно с закидным неводом» впервые было создано мастером Ли Диннином в прошлом веке. В композиции мастер тонко использовал естественную форму бивня, передав очертания лодки: корпус изогнут, словно полумесяц, с узким носом и широкой средней частью, а рыболовная сеть выполнена с ажурной прозрачностью и изяществом.

Благодаря продуманной композиции запечатлён напряжённый момент, когда рыбаки вытаскивают сеть с уловом. Фигуры разнообразны — мужчины и женщины, старики и дети: одни гребут, другие тянут сеть, третьи собирают рыбу. Их позы и выражения лиц переданы с поразительной реалистичностью, создавая ощущение живого движения.

Применение сложной ажурной техники формирует выразительную сцену рыбацкого труда, наполненную ритмом и атмосферой повседневной жизни. После появления этой композиции серия «Рыболовное судно с закидным неводом» стала знаковым направлением гуанчжоуской школы резьбы по кости, на протяжении многих лет сохраняя устойчивый интерес и признание.
