Кантонский шар из бивня мамонта «Марс» на резной подставке — редкий пример художественной резьбы, в котором мастер соединяет космическую символику и сложнейшую технику обработки материала. Сфера, выточенная из цельного бивня, словно парит над изящной подставкой, создавая ощущение лёгкости и одновременно подчёркивая монументальность природного материала. Тёплый оттенок кости с мягкими переходами тона усиливает глубину рельефа и подчёркивает филигранность работы.

Изделие выполнено в традиции кантонской школы резьбы — одной из самых сложных в мире. Внутри шара скрыта многоуровневая система подвижных сфер, каждая из которых вырезана из единого массива без разъединения. Сквозные отверстия и округлые проёмы образуют сложную геометрию, через которую просматриваются внутренние слои с декоративными элементами, включая звёздные орнаменты.
