About this product
Art. : 329-613

The statuette "Horse of Fortune" on a malachite stand, Zlatoust, is a chamber talisman of success, made in jewelry logic and with a form discipline characteristic of Zlatoust craftsmen. In the center of the composition is a rampant horse, cast from metal with mirrored nickel plating and gilding accents: the mane, tail and smoothly flowing blanket are highlighted in gold, emphasizing the solemn silhouette. In front of the figure is a horseshoe with the inscription "FOR GOOD LUCK", decorated with delicate ornaments and a pair of green inserts supporting the theme of malachite. The base is mounted on a round disc of natural stone with recognizable veins and a depth of shades, and the lower rim, polished to a cold shine, gives the whole work a sense of strict status. Such an object looks organically in the office of the head, in the meeting room or in the home library, remaining an expressive gift to a person accustomed to rely on symbols of strength and victory.

The Zlatoust school of decorative metal is read here in every stroke, even at a small size. The ornament on the horseshoe was applied manually, the curls and geometry of the frames were brought out with jeweler's precision, then the surface was finished with multi-stage polishing, emphasizing the contrast of warm gold and cold nickel. The craftsmanship is expressed not only in the drawing: the fit of the details, the accuracy of the connections, the fine work with planes and relief are important, so that the metal "plays" in the light without heaviness. The malachite stand is chosen so that the natural pattern does not argue with the plasticity of the figure, but supports it, creating a feeling of a stable foundation — the very "stone underfoot" that luck needs.

This statuette combines two powerful signs: the horse, which carries the meaning of energy, dash and confident movement, and the horseshoe, which preserves the ancient reputation of a protective symbol of well-being. The character of the horse is conveyed without theatricality — the tense line of the neck, the gathered forelegs, the slight turn of the body set the dynamics, as if in the next second the impulse will turn into a victorious step. A gilded horse blanket sounds like a sign of reward, and malachite, associated with prosperity and the "happy" stone of the Urals, enhances the mood of a rare, meaningful gift. The "horse of Fortune" is perceived not just as a decorative thing, but as a wish-object: about the right choice, about a solid foundation and about a favorable turn of events, supported by skill, time and material.
