The remarkable collection of animalistic and genre sculptures, for which the Imperial Porcelain Factory is famous and which over the years was formed by such famous animalists of the 20th century as B.Ya. Vorobyov, P.P. Veselov, I.I. Riznich and others, was supplemented by the work of Galina Belash, a sculptor at the Imperial Porcelain Factory.
The author has captured a fairy–tale dragon in porcelain, one of the symbols of the eastern horoscope. The sculpture is executed in a biscuit in a realistic manner with careful elaboration of details. The matte velvety texture of the material gives the image a special decorative effect.
