The box, born in the workshops of Chrysostom, resembles the chest of an oriental princess — just as luxurious, mysterious and inaccessible. Its strict outlines are emphasized by the complex architecture of the carved panels framed by solid metal with alternating gold and silver elements. The deep shade of jasper — saturated, with natural veins — enters into a dialogue with the transparent crystal crowning the lid: the crystal faces refract the light, like a frozen drop of morning dew in the pavilion of the Mughal Palace.
Each side of the box is decorated with filigree engravings and patterns in the spirit of oriental arcades: metal lace forms rosettes topped with drops of crystals inlaid by hand. On the inside of the lid is an engraved image of a woman with an oriental profile, surrounded by flower petals and delicate lines of ornament, like a memory of the unsaid, frozen in gold. The geometry of the decoration is combined with the jewelry precision of the carving, creating a sense of harmony between the material and the symbolic, between form and content.
Created for those who appreciate not only elegance in things, but also the depth of artistic intent, this casket is appropriate in a personal collection of art objects, the office of an expert in oriental aesthetics, or as an invaluable gift for a person worthy of high-society recognition. It doesn't need an explanation — it's enough to see it to understand that this is not an object, but a treasure.
