Giglio Company is proud to present an original collection of jewelry storage boxes made in a limited series dedicated to the work of Salvador Dali. The collection consisted of 1904 caskets – this figure was suggested by the year of the artist's birth. "Painting is hand–made photography in colors," Dali argued. Following the principles of the great artist, the Italian masters of the Giglio company created real masterpieces. With photographic precision, they transferred the paintings of Salvador Dali to the wooden "canvas" of the caskets, replacing the paint strokes with the thinnest plates of precious wood. Each box has gone a long way, taking more than 6 months, from an idea to its perfect embodiment. The best masters of the Giglio company and specially invited eminent art historians studying Dali's work worked on its creation. Giglio jewelry boxes from the Salvador Dali collection have become a striking example of skillful handmade, combining impeccable quality, design and craftsmanship.
