Danshin The drawing may differ slightly from the one shown in the photo, because the manufacture of the box and the painting are done by hand by the master. Many people are familiar with the expression "dog in the manger": this is what they say about a person who is not ready to part with the benefits he does not need. The artist Danshin from the village of Fedoskino hardly meant this expression when he depicted a family of four dogs on the lid of a flat 12-centimeter box resembling a cigarette case. Nevertheless, the fact remains: a mother with three puppies is located on a scattering of shiny objects resembling gold coins. The artist managed to depict dogs very realistically, but the background looks very futuristic: the dogs have chosen an ancient castle, and live in a room with a high window, in which a multicolored stained glass window is inserted. The unusual combination of elements does not spoil the miniature: a stone wall and a stained glass window depicting the sun only emphasize the beauty of purebred puppies and their caring mother. A flat box can be given to a friend who breeds four-legged friends at home, or to a familiar smoker who can store cigarettes in a cigarette case.

Our small box is made in an unusual way, bypassing traditions: its shape is not rectangular, and the image on the lid is very unusual. The "Girlfriend" box is shaped like a seashell, and is designed for women: men prefer objects with right angles, and they have enough traditional specimens. Three girls in Russian folk costumes are painted on the lid. Their heads are covered with bright scarves, and all other elements of their clothes have bright colors. The girlfriends are happy and having fun - apparently, fate has not given them the opportunity to meet for a long time. The meeting of friends takes place on a snowy village road. In the background there are small huts covered with snowdrifts.
