The Koran “Vostok" with stones in Arabic, executed in Zlatoust, is a gift edition designed for special occasions — protocol presentations, family heirlooms, collections and cabinets of people accustomed to impeccable aesthetics. The base of the book is covered with a deep green material with a velvety texture, the end is emphasized by a dense block of pages with a golden hue of the cut. The front side is covered with a metal overlay with a rich ornament and a central medallion with Arabic script, decorative elements and corner overlays are made along the perimeter, enhancing the feeling of monumentality. The clasp lock is designed as a separate jewelry unit: shaped straps, relief, refined plastic details, providing a tight and solemn closure. The composition is completed by stone inserts — rounded cabochons in cool blue-green tones, distributed across the field of the cover and creating the effect of shimmering accents on a golden background.
The Zlatoust school can be read here in the character of metal and in the manner of decoration: the surface lives in the light, combining polished areas, matting and fine elaboration of ornamental lines. The floral motifs are arranged symmetrically, with a precise rhythm of curls and frames that emphasize the center of the composition. Colored enamels are introduced in a dosed manner — as architectural belts and inserts that keep the drawing within strict limits, while gilded metal retains the main role, setting the status and solemnity. The stones do not argue with the ornament, but support it, adding depth to the color and a sense of “composure” of the object, when each detail serves a common idea.
Inside, the printed Arabic text is revealed, surrounded by a rich red frame with a traditional pattern: the spreads look festive, like miniature carpets, where the page margin remains clear, and the ornament sets a noble contrast. The paper density, the neatness of the layout, the decorative elements and the markings on the margins form the impression of a carefully thought-out publication designed not for casual reading on the go, but for careful handling. In general, it is an object expressing respect for a book, for tradition, for the recipient; a gift that speaks without unnecessary words about the taste of the giver, his position and the ability to choose things designed for a long life.
