The Koran “East" is a gift edition in Arabic, made in a luxurious binding with a metal frame and expressive oriental decor. The solid base is covered with a noble material of a deep green tone, the ends of the pages are carefully aligned and emphasized with a golden edge, creating the feeling of a monolithic precious book. On the front side there is a complex composition of overlays, decorative overlays at the corners and a massive fastener that fixes the binding and gives the publication the status of a family heirloom; such a Quran is intended for people who perceive the book not as an object, but as a sign of respect, faith and impeccable taste.
The Zlatoust school of artistic metalworking is revealed here in the most subtle work on the salary: filigree ornaments, multi-layered contrasts of polished and frosted surfaces, neat engraving, complemented by blackening and gilding, form the depth of the drawing. Colored enamels laid in even planes and assembled into strict contours of arabesques support the architecture of the pattern and emphasize its rhythm. Each line looks hand-drawn, with preserved “living” metal plastic, so that the decor is perceived not as printed, but as a created craft, where value is measured not by volume, but by accuracy.
The cover's composition is based around a central medallion with Arabic calligraphy, framed by dark green inserts and a light ornamental field resembling a delicate mosaic texture; the corners are accentuated by decorative rosettes with green stones supporting the color of the binding. The clasp, decorated with a curly overlay, looks like a separate decoration and completes the image of a “closed shrine”, carefully preserved and opened only at the right moment. Inside are pages with an elegant set of Arabic text, surrounded by red—gold frames and ornamental screensavers, creating a solemn sense of order and harmony inherent in real gift editions designed for many generations.
