About this product
The great military leaders of Russia. The book contains biographies of great generals, to each of whom Russia owes the most glorious pages of its history. Some of them we have known since childhood — Alexander Nevsky, Dmitry Donskoy, Alexander Suvorov, Mikhail Kutuzov, Fyodor Ushakov, Mikhail Skobelev, Alexey Ermolov… But there are also names that are much less well—known, but no less famous - Ivan Paskevich, Alexei Shein, or ... Tsar Peter I, whose merits as a military commander and commander are sometimes underestimated today. This book is a fascinating tour of eight centuries of Russian military history and the fates of its great creators, equally interesting for readers of any age. The reader will learn the most basic things about military victories, characters, and circumstances of military leaders' lives. Biographies of famous generals are based on the works of the best Russian historians. The publication is colorfully illustrated with works of Russian battle paintings and portraits of generals.
