For many years, in various places and from countless sources, the author collected disparate documents, military chronicles and archival materials in order to extract from oblivion and connect into one narrative the dramatic events, the course and development of which determined the special role of the Caucasian War in the history of the Russian state.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nEach volume of the presented collection is devoted to the period of the administration of the Caucasus by one or another governor, a certain stage of the armed confrontation in this region, and military campaigns led by various commanders of the Russian army.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nThis military historical research was in such demand that even before the last volumes were published, a second edition was undertaken, according to which the first four volumes of the reprint reproduction are published.
