The album is a catalog of banknotes.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The collective monograph was prepared by leading scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the State Historical Museum, and the State Hermitage Museum and is devoted to the stages of formation and development of the monetary circulation of Russia from the first Russian monetary and weight systems of the pre-Mongolian period to the creation of the monetary system of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Special attention is paid to the most important milestone in the transformation of the country's financial and economic system - the period of formation and development of the Russian Empire from the beginning of Peter I's monetary reform in the first quarter of the XVIII century to the formation of credit and financial structures in the second half of the XIX century, the creation of the first State Bank of Russia.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The monetary circulation of Modern times is represented by sections relating to the periods of the First World War and the Civil War, the post-war stabilization of monetary circulation in the first quarter of the twentieth century. The financial and economic history of the Soviet period, the era of perestroika and financial reforms of the recent period are studied.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In preparing this publication, the book of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation \"Monetary Circulation of Russia\" (in 3 volumes), released in 2010 for the 150th anniversary of the bank, was used. In the selection of illustrative material, the funds of the GIMA (an anniversary exhibition dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of the history of money in Russia), funds of the Bank of Russia, FSUE Goznak, and private collections were used.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The catalog was compiled by specialists of the Bank of Russia and historical scientists. In its first part, devoted to Russian banknotes of regular issues, information on national issues of paper banknotes and coins of regular mints of 1843-2009 is systematized. Color images of the main types of banknotes are provided, as well as references to regulations concerning their issuance and withdrawal from circulation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The second part of the catalog contains information about commemorative, jubilee and investment coins of the Russian Empire, the USSR and the Russian Federation.
