Koi carp is a symbol that came to us from the east when the wave of feng Shui craze began.  Koi is an artificially bred breed of carp in Japan, which, unlike ordinary gray carp, has a bright and unusual coloring.
A carp with white and red spots symbolizes career success. It is believed that koi attracts abundance and prosperity to the house.
Carp represents masculinity, victory, striving for a goal and achieving a result. This fish is endowed with such symbols due to the fact that it is very hardy and tenacious. Koi carp swims against the current, swims great distances and overcomes the rapids of the Yellow River on the way to the spawning site, thereby embodying the will, perseverance and ability to cope with life's difficulties.
