It is extracted laboriously, riskily and expensively, but at the same time, a precious black-and–blue material with tints of gray and silver streaks has no analogues - it is beautiful and noble amazingly!

The name oak is due to the presence of special tannins in the tree juices, thanks to which the wood, trapped in an airless space under the water column, darkens and persists for thousands of years. The age of the bog oak was determined in a special laboratory of the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

According to legend, the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God was painted by the holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke. The Mother of God, seeing this image, said: "From now on, all births will please Me. May the grace of Him who was born of Me and Mine be with this icon."
