The functional table souvenir is based on: a glass flask and spheres filled with liquid, each of which has a certain temperature value.

The density of the liquid in the tube changes with increasing and decreasing temperature, the glass spheres rise and fall depending on these changes, indicating the current temperature levels, which allows you to simply and clearly read the temperature, as well as easily adjust it.

When the air temperature changes, the temperature of the water inside the thermometer changes, as a result of which the water will expand or contract, changing its density. As the density of the water changes, some spheres will float, while others will sink.

The temperature is read using medallions that are attached to glass spheres. The medallions are calibrated counterweights with temperature readings printed on them. They are the ones that cause the spheres to rise and fall. The spheres that sink are heavier than the actual temperature, while the spheres that float are lighter.

The method of determining the temperature varies depending on how the spheres react. If one sphere floats about halfway in the thermometer tube between a group of floating and descending spheres, the correct temperature readings are indicated on the medallion of this sphere.

If there is no floating sphere halfway between the upper group of spheres and the lower one, take the medallion readings from the lowest sphere in the upper group, and the medallion readings from the highest sphere in the lower group and average the readings of these two spheres to determine the temperature.

When all the spheres are floating, the temperature is below the lowest sphere. If all the spheres go down, the temperature exceeds 84 degrees Fahrenheit.

Application of the souvenir: place the thermometer in the room in an upright position on a flat, flat table surface. To get the most accurate results, it is better not to put the thermometer under direct sunlight.
