The cast, jubilee, and silver cup holder is dedicated to the 320th anniversary of the creation of the Marine Corps, one of the most capable branches of the Russian Navy. The Marine Corps appeared in Russia in the 18th century. It was on November 27, 1705, that the Naval soldiers were established by decree of Peter the Great. Initially, they were in charge of small arms on ships and took part in boarding enemy ships. Later, their task was to storm the coast: enemy ports and strategically important facilities. During the Great Patriotic War, the number of Marines exceeded 100,000 people, they defended such large cities as Moscow, Leningrad, Sevastopol, Odessa. It was during those years that the enemy nicknamed them the "black death" or "black devils."
