The Vostochny tea set is the embodiment of the artistic wealth of the Zlatoust school and the exotic aesthetics of the East, combined into a sophisticated compositional ensemble. Four bowls, carved from natural jade with its bizarre inclusions, as if assembled from living stone, are carefully placed on gilded stands with filigree enamel. The center of the composition is crowned by the figure of a noble nobleman, sitting with a cup in his hand, surrounded by a miniature coffee set — everything is executed with jewelry precision and covered with multi-layered enamel in shades of sapphire, emerald and ruby.

The front side of the background, on which the figure sits, resembles a throne room or a domed niche of a palace. All the decorative elements are assembled into an exquisite symphony of oriental generosity, worthy of a connoisseur's collection.
