Gifts of the Sea caviar bowl on jasper, Zlatoust

The Gifts of the Sea caviar bowl from Zlatoust is a work that combines the elegance of crystal glass, the richness of jasper and the brilliance of gilded metal. The transparent bowl with faceted walls is crowned with a lid with an exquisite ornament and an insert made of stone, and at its base it is supported by sculptural figures of sturgeon fish. The image of the sea element is embodied in detail: from graceful silhouettes of marine life to fine carvings on gilded elements.

The traditional technique of engraving and gilding for Chrysostom fills the object with special solemnity. The deep wine-colored jasper that makes up the base gives stability to the composition and symbolizes eternity, while the matte sheen of gold emphasizes the artistic value of the product. Every detail is created with attention to proportions and harmony, turning a utilitarian object into a collectible table decoration.

"Gifts of the sea" is a symbol of abundance and exquisite taste. Such an iconoclast will be appropriate at a diplomatic reception, a family holiday or as a gift for connoisseurs of high art. It recalls the generosity of nature and the skill of a man who knows how to turn precious materials into an object worthy of a royal feast.
