In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the Uglich Watch Factory presents a new model of Katyusha watches. We were inspired to create them by the military glory of the BM-13 multiple launch rocket system. It was a symbol of Soviet artillery power during the Great Patriotic War and is still considered one of the highest achievements of our gunsmiths all over the world.
The model in a 40 mm steel case with a fluted bezel resembles a tire with a tread. Hidden under a sapphire crystal, the protective-colored dial is decorated with a scarlet star in the form of an overlay sign and indexes covered with phosphor. The geometry of the arrows resembles the shape of projectiles. It was the Katyusha rockets that were the main secret of the new Soviet weapons, which the Germans could not reveal during the war years. A flame is depicted on the crown of the watch, a symbol of Eternal Flame. The design of the back cover is inspired by the sculptural composition of the memorial complex in honor of the Battery of Captain Ivan Flerov, located near the village of Piskalovo in the Orsha district of the Vitebsk region, where the baptism of fire of Katusha took place on July 14, 1941.
The reliable Miyota 8N24 self-winding movement with a power reserve of 42 hours is responsible for the flawless movement. The watch is complemented by a classic genuine leather strap with a perforation resembling projectile guides. A commemorative keychain is also included with the watch in its original packaging.
We are proud of the glorious exploits of our ancestors and respect all members of the Russian Army, so we decided to send part of the proceeds from the sale of these watches to support the participants of our military.
