The text of the letter: "The White House, Washington, June 24, 1974. Dear May, Your kind and warm letter means more to me than I will ever be able to tell you. I was especially pleased to hear your memories of Justin, and I see that you continue to feel his invisible presence very strongly. He really was a wonderful man, and you can be sure that I will always do everything in my power to justify the trust that both of you have placed in me. Pat joins me and sends you our warm wishes. Sincerely, Richard Nixon. Mrs. Justine Miller, 15320 Earlham Street, Pacific Palisades, California 90272."
Richard Nixon was the 37th President of the United States of America (1969-1974), the 36th Vice President of the United States (1953-1961).
Nixon was named after Richard the Lionheart, and four of his brothers were also named after English kings.
Like King Richard, the president was distinguished by generosity and a kind disposition - at all kinds of political meetings, he gave golf balls with his autograph as a souvenir. And during one of his visits to the Soviet Union, Nixon presented Leonid Brezhnev with an American electronic watch. After that, Brezhnev immediately commissioned the manufacture of such watches in the USSR.
