"Natalia Borisovna
Yours sincerely!
L. Brezhnev"

Leonid Brezhnev was a Soviet statesman and party leader who held the highest leadership position in the CPSU for 18 years, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, and a participant in the Victory Day Parade on Red Square on June 24, 1945.

Brezhnev was known for his excessive passion for awards. He had an incredible number of orders and medals, many of which were awarded to him for outstanding services to the Soviet people, although these were often purely formal awards. There simply wasn't enough room on his tunics for all the awards, which led to comical situations and confirmed the widespread opinion about his love for symbols of power and prestige. This is not just a love of awards, but a vivid symbol of his era and the nature of the political regime.
