Autographed postcard, Monte Carlo, 1976
Grace Kelly is an American actress who has become a style icon and one of the most beloved Hollywood stars by the public. Her film career, though short-lived, was incredibly bright: she starred in more than 10 films, won an Oscar for her role in The Village Girl and became the highest-grossing actress of her time. Alfred Hitchcock, who called her his muse, considered Grace an ideal actress for his films such as "Window to the Courtyard" and "To Catch a Thief."
In 1956, Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier III of Monaco, leaving her film career for a new role — the princess. Their wedding was a huge event that attracted the attention of the whole world. As Hitchcock later joked, he was "very happy that Grace had found such a good role for herself." As a princess, she devoted herself to charity, founded the World Association of Friends of Children, led the Red Cross and actively contributed to the development of culture and art in Monaco. Her elegance and dedication made her a real favorite of the people.
The frame featured in the Stargift collection shows a family portrait of Grace Kelly with her husband, Prince Rainier III, and their children: Princess Caroline, Prince Albert, and Princess Stephanie. The photo was taken in 1976 in Monte Carlo and conveys the atmosphere of warmth and harmony that prevailed in their family.
